A Birdie Told Me: Bringing Llanelli's Railway Heritage to Life

What a day! Yesterday I had the absolute joy of spending the day recording A Birdie Told Me — a brand new interactive audio adventure that's going to be something really special.

I was joined by the wonderful Sarah Davies, Sarah James, and Paul Barrett from the Llanelli Railway Goods Shed Trust, recording for South West Wales Connected.

A GPS-activated interactive audio walk for children and families, exploring Llanelli's rich railway heritage through a wonderfully creative storyline — guided by a cheeky seagull called Siân and a streetwise pigeon called Peg.

Using the brilliant VoiceMap platform, this walk will spring to life as you stroll through the streets. The audio syncs perfectly with your location — so as you walk, Siân and Peg reveal the hidden history all around you. It's storytelling that literally moves with you.

I can't wait for families to put on their headphones and discover the stories hiding in plain sight all around Llanelli's historic railway quarter. Watch this space — more news coming soon!
